Global Green Growth Institute has a new exciting opportunity for an individual with a strategic green growth vision and the ability to implement it through programs and projects in developing countries. More specifically, we are looking for an Assistant Director-General of GGGI’s Green Growth Planning and Implementation division. Application deadline is Oct.17, 2014.
GGGI has a diverse portfolio of programs in developing countries around the world that focus on delivering results aligned to countries’ development priorities. The ADG for Green Growth Planning and Implementation will lead these in-country programs, which are at the core of GGGI’s vision and mission, with a global team of approximately 40 professionals in the GGPI division. Additionally, as a member of the senior management team, the ADG will help shape and implement our organization’s overall vision and strategy.
The position will be based in our Seoul Headquarters.
Below are some of the characteristics and qualifications we are looking for:
• Portfolio management skills: Proven project, program, and portfolio management skills and ability to apply economics into green growth policy options and mainstream green growth into policy formulation and implementation in developing countries
• Leadership skills: A proven track record of effectively building, and managing a diverse team of professionals in an international setting
• Resource mobilization: Extensive track record of effectively engaging stakeholders and mobilizing resources from the public and/or private sector,
• Communication: Excellent communications skills in English, both orally and in writing
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in the areas mentioned above, at least 5 years of which would be as the head of an organization, or of a major department/division of a large scale public or private entity of an international and multicultural nature; and must have an advanced degree in relevant fields
