The Swedish Institute Management Program

The Swedish Institute Management Program aims to establish a strong global network of leaders from China, India and Northern Europe. Directed at managers in senior positions it focuses on successful and sustainable businesses, building on corporate social responsibility.

Corporations acting on a global market today are expected to take ethical, social and environmental responsibility for how products and services influence society. However, the high demands on competitiveness, production efficiency and profit remains. The Swedish Institute Management program is designed to uncover the advanced concepts, practical tools and primary skills required from a leader in todays political and global business arena.

Unique program

The Swedish Institute Management Program offers a unique combination of advanced problem solving in business projects, seminars with highly qualified speakers and workshops led by distinguished experts from business and politics.

The program aims at supporting common strengths, future potential and increasing economical expansion of the participating countries with CSR as an all-embracing theme.

Long-term network

The wider goal of the Swedish institute Management Program is to build an active network of people interested in promoting improved relations and business cooperation between the participating countries and Sweden.

The participants profit from an out-of-the-ordinary experience and a unique opportunity to build a network and discuss various themes of management with prominent names from business, culture and politics. The program also offers a chance to explore Sweden from a new perspective through inspiring cultural experiences and nature excursions.

Mutual benefits

Sweden is considered one of the leading countries in sustainable business practice. Swedish companies takes a prominent role in finding new innovative ways to integrate social, environmental and ethical concerns into thier core business models. However, the program is a reciprocal effort. Sweden seeks to learn from the countries involved, gain new and lasting netwoks, and strengthen the concept of corporate social responsibility.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

The business climate of todays global market demands corporations to combine profitability and a sustainable development. The development has brought a new focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR), a concept of increasing importance for global politics and corporations.

CSR applies to everything from human rights to environmental care. The term is steadily gaining in importance and is now a regular item on the agendas of major corporations.

The UN and the EU have formulated guidelines in this field, and the European Commission defines CSR as a concept whereby companies integrate social and environmental concerns in their business operations and in their interaction with their stakeholders on a voluntary basis.
